Saturday Catch Up

Yeah I've been absent for a couple of days, but for good reason. I have these new characters in my head, and I'm not sure if I'm going to write their story or not. Still debating, I've been ubber busy. I went to see New Moon last night for my friends birthday, yes, yes I did go for Jacob and Jacob alone yes I did. He is the best character in that series.

Safe to say the theater was ridiculously crowded, and every single time any male figure of any level of attraction came on screen all you could hear was the gaggle of screams from the fan girls. My friends and I spent most of the movie screaming at everyone to shut up. But it wasn't just us, every few rows some was yelling at everyone else to just be quiet and watch the movie. Really, the first time okay I understand but every single time he appears? Really? You need to blow out the rest of the audiences eardrums every time you see anyone who is slightly attractive? Granted at one point my friends and I did make some snide comments, right in the beginning and got a dose of our own medicine, we weren't doing anything too bad just whispers to one another, and a girl in front of us asked us to shut up. We did, and then I felt bad about talking, so we stayed quiet.

Oh Jade I went to a JV football game yesterday, told you I would. It was against our biggest rival we lost but Varsity won this afternoon, missed the one today because I slept in, I've only been up for four hours, but when you're out till after 11 hanging with your friends that's what happens :P. And I was distracted all week by my TV shows, is anyone else a fan of the Puck/Quinn paring on Glee or is it just me? I know he's a jerk, but he's trying and I think he cares about her. I also think Finn is beyond immature. But that is just my opinion. And Grey's please, please, fix your show, I love you so much Grey's, I really do. So because I love you I'm going to come right out and say it, you need to fix your show. Get rid of the chick who took Georges locker, bring Izzie back and work on the writing. You used to be full of amazing lines, amazing characters, and have now stooped so low as to bring in a long lost pregnant daughter into the midst, this is sending you down the path to becoming a soap opera. You have been forewarned. Now to continue on...

I sent out that piece for the college program I applied for. A day before it had to be in the mail and I'm worried it wont get marked or get lost, that occupied my mind for quite awhile this past week. So now I wait. Wait until March when I hear back, that is so long, and I just want to know now. Patience is not my virtue. Obviously.

Now I have to go write, and write, and try as hard as I can to decide how I'm going to be spending the rest of my weekend. And hey Thanksgiving is coming up, I have a three day school week. Score! So how has everyone else been while I've been very absent from blogging?

That is exactly the reason why I'm waiting until after opening week: fangirls! Plus, I totally bat for team Jacob too!

Yay for the football!! Now I want to know what the difference between JV and Varsity is? American football fascinates me and I don't know why. My husband went to a game when he was in the U.S (the Orange Bowl? He went with friends from USC who were playing me thinks) and he said it was insane and took like four hours! Ok, shutting up now.

Jade- Okay the difference from JV and Varsity is simple, but we'll start from the bottom and work our way up. First there is the freshman team, consisting of all freshmen who are good but need to hone their skills, then sophmore-junior kids are the ones who mostly make up the JV team, it's mostly 10th graders. Varisty is like the top of the pyramid, only a handfull of freshmen and sophmores make it, it's mostly comprised of juniors and seniors. And games can last forever, high school games don't normally go over two and a half hours. But I'll keep you informed, our Varsity team is going to states so I'll be attending those games. And I have no idea what the Orange Bowl is, I barely understand football, hockey is more my sport.

Oh, I see. We have grades. For example, my little brother (17) plays Rugby League (not Australian Football or AFL, which is lame) and it's broken up by your age (u18's, u16's etc), then there is Reserve Grade and First Grade. You can be any age in the last two.

Wow, your writing blog has turned into football crap. I don't even really like sport--except horse-riding.
Ok, back to SRH.

Jade-I don't like footballl either, I jsut go to the games because my friend is the nose guard. That is the only term I know. Okay we need to get back to writing...

Wait! What's a nose guard? I must know!

I have no idea, he tells me it means he's a fat kid, but that can't be it because he is reasonably proportioned, in fact he's really skinny. I think its the guy who throws himself in front of the quarterback and runs into people, though I can't be a hundred percent on that...

I just saw New Moon too! Loved it, surprisingly.

Sara-I was surprised that I actually enjoyed it too, Taylor really looked like Jacob, he pulled it off well, and aside from all the relentless screaming it was pretty good. I had an awesome time.

Ha! I was at the midnight showing and, yeah, the girls went crazy. When Edward did that slow-mo walk from his car, I'm pretty sure I heard a girl hyperventilating in the row behind me. And the squeals when Jake took his shirt off were enough to provoke a "Calm down ladies" from some guy in the back - I thought it was pretty funny though.

And patience is not a virtue I possess either. Good luck with the wait and the writing. :)

Jessica-Thank you :)

I have yet to face the Twilight series, in books or in theaters. Call me chicken, but I'm not exactly prepped for handling the crazed fan girls. I'll do it later, in the safety of my home :)

Oh and Glee has become one of my new favorite shows. I agree with the Puck/Quinn paring. Finn is too gaga over Rachel even though he tries to be mature and responsible. Although Puck has his faults too. I could talk Glee all day, so I'll stop while I'm ahead.
